HIV doesn’t discriminate, and neither should prevention. Knowing your HIV status is a routine part of taking care of your health, just like checking your blood pressure or cholesterol. In fact, about 1 in 8 people living with HIV in the United States don’t know they have it, which is why the CDC recommends everyone ages 13-64 be tested at least once and those with ongoing risk be tested more often.
About PrEP
- PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a highly effective way to help prevent HIV before exposure occurs. At Coastal Family Health, we offer three PrEP options to fit different lifestyles and preferences: a daily pill, an every-other-month injection, and a long-acting injectable given twice a year.
- We make HIV prevention affordable. Most patients pay nothing out of pocket for PrEP.
- Our team of professionals is here to guide you through the process, from prescription to ongoing care.
HIV Educational Speaker – Coastal Family Health Center provides a trained facilitator to help strengthen both individual and organizational competencies and increase knowledge about HIV and AIDS. Our trainings offer supportive spaces and are judgment-free and trauma-informed.
Most of our services are mobile! In other words, education program services are offered at Coastal Family Health Center or we can come to you for HIV testing and HIV Awareness events.
