These programs are designed to expand coverage, manage healthcare costs, and improve access to care for those who qualify. Coastal Family Health Center is committed to helping patients enroll so that financial challenges don’t stand in the way of having health coverage. Our Certified Application Counselors are here to guide you through the enrollment process and make it as easy as possible.

Special Enrollment Period
A Special Enrollment Period is a time outside the yearly Open Enrollment when you can sign up for health insurance. You may qualify if you experience certain life events, such as losing coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, or adopting a child, or if your household income falls below a specific threshold.
Depending on the type of event, you typically have 60 days before or after it occurs to enroll in a plan. Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are available to enroll in anytime.
