Coastal Family Health Center is expanding access to healthcare for local students with the opening of two new school-based health clinics located at Gorenflo Elementary School and Nichols Elementary School in Biloxi.
A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new clinics will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Nichols Elementary School clinic, located at 590 Division Street, Biloxi, MS 39530. Community members, partners, and local leaders will join Coastal Family Health Center to mark the occasion.
The new clinics provide convenient access to primary care services for students and staff at both Gorenflo and Nichols Elementary Schools. For students, services are provided at no out-of-pocket cost with a completed parent consent form. Available services include well-child visits, treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, management of chronic conditions, immunizations, sports physicals, and more.
Recognizing the diverse needs of the school communities, both clinics feature bilingual staff and language interpretation services to help ensure families can access care in their preferred language.
Coastal Family Health Center now operates 31 school-based health clinics across the Mississippi Gulf Coast, helping reduce barriers to care while keeping students healthy, in school, and ready to learn.
