Coastal Family Health Center is proud to announce it has earned accreditation from The Joint Commission, a nationally recognized, independent, nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs in the United States.
The Joint Commission accreditation is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. Coastal Family Health Center underwent a rigorous, comprehensive survey in which The Joint Commission assessed compliance with national standards related to patient safety, quality of care, leadership, infection prevention, and clinical excellence.
“This accreditation affirms the hard work and dedication of our entire team and reinforces our mission to provide quality, comprehensive patient-centered care to the communities we serve,” said Angel Greer, Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Family Health Center. “Earning accreditation from The Joint Commission demonstrates that our organization meets the highest standards of quality and safety, and it reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.”
Accreditation by The Joint Commission is awarded only after an organization demonstrates compliance with performance standards designed to reduce risk, improve outcomes, and foster a culture of excellence. As part of this process, surveyors conduct on-site evaluations, observe care delivery, and engage with staff to ensure best practices are consistently followed.
Coastal Family Health Center serves individuals and families across the region by providing comprehensive primary care, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. This achievement further strengthens the organization’s role as a trusted health care provider and community partner.
